Began his career in 1991 as a senior research fellow at the scientific and production company ‘Sagan-Nuga’
In 1992-1993 –  financial director at the scientific and production company ‘Sagan-Nuga’
Since 1993 –  deputy Director General on economic  issues at the scientific and production company ‘Sagan-Nuga’ renamed into ‘BaikalPharm’ scientific and production JSC
1993-2008  –  Director General ‘BaikalPharm’ scientific and production JSC
2008-2012  –  Chairman of the Board of Directors,  ‘BaikalPharm’ Group of Companies
In 2013 before obtaining the State Duma deputy mandate – Director for general issues at the office of ‘Plaza’ Ltd
Elected deputy of the People’s Khural (Parliament) of the Buryatia Republic (2nd , 3d, 4th convocations: 1998-2002, 2002-2007, 2007-2013)
Since 2002 – member of the Council of the Buryatia Republic People’s Khural, head of the Spravedlivaya Rossia Faction at the Republic of Buryatia People’s Khural
Member of the Commiittee on Budget, Taxes and Finances at the People’s Khural, Republic of Buryatia.
