Vladimir Pozdnyakov

Born on 30 June 1946 in Zhatay (Yakut ASSR). Spent his childhood in the village of Yurts (Taishet district of Irkutsk region).  Graduated from the school № 15 of the city of Irkutsk. In 1964, he started his career at the same time he studied at the evening Department of the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute, which Pozdnyakov graduated in 1970.

Joined the ranks of the Communist party of Soviet Union. Actively engaged in Komsomol work, in 1970 he was elected Secretary of the Kirov regional Committee of the Komsomol of the city of Irkutsk. After graduating from the Higher Komsomol school, he became Deputy head and head of the Irkutsk regional Committee of the Komsomol. From 1977 to 1978, led the agitation trains of the Central Committee of Komsomol construction of the Baikal-Amur mainline.

In the period of the Afghan war (1979-1989) from 1983 to 1984 Pozdnyakov was in Afghanistan as an Advisor of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the Central Committee of the Democratic youth organization of Afghanistan (D. O. M. A.) in Kandahar province.

After returning from Afghanistan, he worked in the apparatus of the Soviet of the preparatory Committee for XII world festival of youth and students in Moscow, then was Executive Secretary of the Central Council of the all-Union voluntary organization of struggle for sobriety. From 1988 to 1991 was responsible for the work in the office of the all.

In 1991 he took an active part in the work of the RSFSR. After its ban, he headed JSC "Ariana", created to support veterans of Afghanistan and families of the victims of the DRA in the performance of international duty. At the same time volunteer engaged in work at the Central Committee of the Communist party.

From 1995 to 2003 Pozdnyakov was the assistant Deputy of the State Duma Gennady Zyuganov. In December 2003 he became Deputy and then chief instructor of the apparatus of the Communist party faction in the State Duma.

4 Dec 2011-elected Deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation on the list of the Communist party (regional group # 24 — Zabaykalsky Krai, Amur oblast). Appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Rules and organization of work of the State Duma. Also Pozdnyakov became a member of the Duma Commission on parliamentary ethics and Deputy Chairman of the Duma Commission on control over reliability of data on incomes, about property and obligations of property character represented by deputies of the State Duma.
